In a row of this DNS is still a underground band, making true black metal, which soundes like Norway's black metal in the early 90s - the second wave of black metal.ĭNS is deprecating all influences from other typs of metal, which infiltrated black metal in former times.Ĭassete versions of all DNS albums have been released by Khlyst and Stabaath of Ukrainian black metal band Lucifugum on their own label Propaganda. This leads to the point that many people listening to mainstream (black) metal, still strongly linked with the mainstream society, are making fun of DNS. DNS is in dead earnest with their lyrics and opinions about life and society and is NOT practising show-satanism or poser-misanthropy. The lyrics expectorated by Onielar and Velnias are dealing with themes like satanism and nihilism. (Onielar's real name is Yvonne Wilczynska).ĭNS is playing a raw and fast version of old-school black metal, combined with Onielar's witchery voice, making the Sound of DNS idiosyncratic. click to enlarge: 2006 CD Hora Nocturna Released by: self released 1. Thanks again to the makers of this software for a great programme. I’ve actually given up looking for an answer on the internet. Anyone have the same problem? Thanks on the beforehand. And I can’t make head nor tails of google flash file because I don’t really understand how the translation function works. It would make more sense if it didn’t work at all. Then even if both subtitles are shown one above the other, they are both in English. Does anyone know why this is happening? What I don’t understand is that it begins translating but only does it for a couple of minutes. The test button didn’t work and I’m not sure what this was testing. Then I tried to check the ‘google translate’ option clicking on the ‘test’, open file, reload application and login. I prevented all processes except for PotPlayer but this didn’t work. So I thought maybe if I limit the bandwidth of other programmes it Google translate would keep translating. Now, the only online reference I could find is that in a recent update it said “online subtitle translation” would not ‘browse slowly’ in the new version. I’ve set the source language as English and the translation language as Dutch. But now for some reason it translates for about five minutes and then it stops. This is fantastic because you can’t always find Dutch translations on the subtitles websites. I used it to translate English to Dutch while I am watching. The online ‘google translate’ subtitle function used to work fine. I have one big problem, however, and I’ve tried searching for others with same issue but no one discusses it. It is the best media player I use and the most versatile. We still have a review in the works, but for now y'all can at least see for yourselves how Beyond Earth begins. I just sit there, skipping a lot of mediocre commons, waiting for anything that is actually worth shaping my deck around, and sometimes it never comes. Maybe every rare I find is just kind of generally good (maybe an Offering or Adrenaline which both draw cards and give you mana once per battle but are hardly a theme, etc.), so I'm never in a position to force my deck into a defensive style, or a poison style, or a discard style, or whatever the case may be. Maybe I found a sweet relic early in the run, but of all of the card choices I'm given, I find none of the uncommons or rares that actually capitalize on that relic, so it wastes away in my inventory, contributing almost nothing. This problem can afflict many roguelikes, where sometimes all the random stuff you find just doesn't become greater than the sum of its parts. In bad runs that ultimately fail, you either find this defining rare card or relic in the 3rd area when it's too late to shape your deck around it, or you just never find one at all. Great runs often result form your finding a particularly good rare or relic in the first area which then shapes your deck building as you. Due to the game's randomness, there are runs where even well into the 2nd area, my deck has no build-around-me rare or relic, so my deck-building is directionless and has no main synergy to take advantage of. That being said, I have 2 major complaints after my time with the game so far. I've had a great time drafting different decks with it, and hope to see the game continue to improve in the future. It strikes me as a "in the right place, at the right time" sort of thing that just as people were wrapping up Hearthstone's Dungeon Run mode and wishing for more content, this new game appeared to fill that vacuum. I noticed a trend among several Hearthstone streamers where they all got interested in Slay the Spire after burning out on Hearthstone a bit in the past few months. Its owes a lot to Hearthstone in more ways than one: it has some UI similarities, the relative simplicity of card effects is more comparable to Hearthstone than to something like Magic, and Slay the Spire entered Early Access right around the time that the Hearthstone world was abuzz with the Dungeon Run mode, a similar roguelite mode about drafting cards and powering up your deck with passive effects. Slay the Spire occupies an interesting position for me. Importers must send reports of deaths and serious injuries to the FDA and the manufacturer, and reports of malfunctions to the manufacturer.ĭevice user facilities include hospitals, outpatient diagnostic or treatment facilities, nursing homes and ambulatory surgical facilities. Manufacturers must send reports of such deaths, serious injuries and malfunctions to the FDA. Manufacturers and importers must submit reports when they become aware of information that reasonably suggests that one of their marketed devices may have caused or contributed to a death or serious injury or has malfunctioned and the malfunction of the device or a similar device that they market would be likely to cause or contribute to a death or serious injury if the malfunction were to recur. The FDA seeks to include all reports received prior to the update but the inclusion of some reports may be delayed. MAUDE is updated monthly and the search page reflects the date of the most recent update. For example, "(b)(4)" may be found in place of the product's composition and "(b)(6)" may be found in place of a patient's age. The designations "(b)(4)" and "(b)(6)" refer to the exemptions in the FOIA. If a report contains personnel or medical files information, that text is replaced by "(b)(6)". If a report contains trade secret or confidential business information, that text is replaced by "(b)(4)". Certain types of report information are protected from public disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).Submission of a medical device report and the FDA's release of that information is not necessarily an admission that a product, user facility, importer, distributor, manufacturer, or medical personnel caused or contributed to the event.Searches only retrieve records that contain the search term(s) provided by the requester. Variations in trade, product, and company names affect search results.MAUDE data does not represent all known safety information for a reported medical device and should be interpreted in the context of other available information when making device-related or treatment decisions.Establishing a cause-and-effect relationship is especially difficult if circumstances surrounding the event have not been verified or if the device in question has not been directly evaluated. Confirming whether a device actually caused a specific event can be difficult based solely on information provided in a given report. The number of reports cannot be interpreted or used in isolation to reach conclusions about the existence, severity, or frequency of problems associated with devices. MDR data alone cannot be used to establish rates of events, evaluate a change in event rates over time or compare event rates between devices. Please see the MDR Data Files webpage for Device Experience Network (DEN) and Alternative Summary Report (ASR) data received by the FDA. Because of this, MDRs comprise only one of the FDA's several important postmarket surveillance data sources. In addition, the incidence or prevalence of an event cannot be determined from this reporting system alone due to under-reporting of events, inaccuracies in reports, lack of verification that the device caused the reported event, and lack of information about frequency of device use. The MAUDE database houses MDRs submitted to the FDA by mandatory reporters 1 (manufacturers, importers and device user facilities) and voluntary reporters such as health care professionals, patients and consumers.Īlthough MDRs are a valuable source of information, this passive surveillance system has limitations, including the potential submission of incomplete, inaccurate, untimely, unverified, or biased data. The FDA uses MDRs to monitor device performance, detect potential device-related safety issues, and contribute to benefit-risk assessments of these products. Each year, the FDA receives several hundred thousand medical device reports (MDRs) of suspected device-associated deaths, serious injuries and malfunctions. In addition to being a password manager, 1Password can act as an authentication app like Google Authenticator, and for added security it creates a secret key to the encryption key it uses, meaning no one can decrypt your passwords without that key. This prevents anyone, even law enforcement at international borders, from accessing your complete password vault. This mode lets you delete any sensitive data from your devices before you travel and then restore it with a click after you've crossed a border. If you frequently travel across national borders, you’ll appreciate my favorite 1Password feature: Travel Mode. The company also recently reduced its free-trial period from 30 days to 14 days. The problems so far are not enough to make me change our top pick, but it’s definitely something I am keeping an eye on. But on MacOS Monterey, I’ve had problems with autofill not working and keyboard shortcuts stopping until I relaunch the browser, among other issues. On one hand, it finally works with Windows laptops running on ARM architecture. Read our guide to VPN providers for more ideas on how you can upgrade your security, as well as our guide to backing up your data to make sure you don’t lose anything if the unexpected happens.ġPassword recently announced a new version of its apps, 1Password 8, and I’ve had a mixed experience. We need to offload that work to password managers, which offer secure vaults that can stand in for our memory.Ī password manager offers convenience and, more important, helps you create better passwords, which makes your online existence less vulnerable to password-based attacks. That might work for Memory Grand Master Ed Cooke, but most of us are not capable of such fantastic feats. (Make sure they are long, strong, and secure!) Just kidding. The safest (if craziest) way to store them is to memorize them all. Now that so many people are working from home, outside the office intranet, the number of passwords you need may have significantly increased. The problem is, most of us don’t know what makes a good password and aren’t able to remember hundreds of them anyway. For seven years running that’s been “123456” and “password”-the two most commonly used passwords on the web. We know they’re good for us, but most of us are happier snacking on the password equivalent of junk food. Password managers are the vegetables of the internet. UPDATE 8/30/22: Wow! This guide is still getting comments. Added a video explaining where Sam's locker code comes from. UPDATE: 7/19/14: Split the journal entries section into two sections because I wanted to add a video but ran out of room. It seems like every time I read through the guide I find another minor typo or oddly-worded description. I may expand this into a full walkthrough eventually. It isn't intended to be used as a first-time walkthrough, but is instead intended as a completion checklist for those who have finished the game/know the story. So yeah, I just didn't buy Lonnie even leaving military for "love." Again it's simple design you'd find in a movie to make you feel something, again the whole red herring design of the game. This guide points out the locations of Sam's journal entries, the locations of the buttons and cassette tapes/cases, and a few easter eggs. Going to art school, I knew a lot of gay men who went through the military just to pay for college. But it was a simple ending just to throw people off much like a lot of the red herrings of the entire game. I don't know if I would say the ending is bad, but if the whole there are ghosts in this game would actually have satisfy some people. Instead I infer she was a lesbian early on from her voice acting and obsession with Lonnie I just don't how they organized I didn't accident access to sam going "Yup I'm a lesbian." from the start. Picking up notes about the mom cheating on the ranger or the dad getting a book deal are interesting because they are placed well and don't really ruin the flow of the exploration. Plus also kinda one tone the whole audios are just through Sam's perspective I forgot even what the main character sounded. So it's kind of bad for Sam all around and maybe worse for Lonnie if the military forces some sort of awol charges on her or something.īut I'm just glad the ending didn't Thelma and Louise them or something so that part is good.Ī lot happens in that small amount of time. There's something about these stories for me though, I always want to know more about the characters after the end.Įxactly, It's Lonnie leaving a crying message for Sam, although I think that by missed the first two calls she was talking about the first two calls on the answering machine, not that it effects the story any but I think she just meant that Lonnie called, left the crying message, and then you the older sister leave the "is anyone there?" message and then on the third call Sam picks up and it's Lonnie.Īnyways, with that said I think the ending over all is a bad ending (emotionally not written/game wise) two young girls in love/lust running away from their home/the military realistically probably wouldn't work out well, we make some pretty dumb declensions when we are young and something like that would bite you in the ass eventually.īut returning home would mean returning to parents and a school system that wants to shun or just ignore who they are. So I see them going off happily ever after in the end. I think that's actually Lonnie on the phone cause Sam said she missed her first two calls, hence the crying during the second one. The game opens to a phone message of sam crying on the phone, but by around the end, she never really does give an impression that she's waiting by a bus alone waiting for Lanny Sorry to be the devils advocate I am pretty open to most games but I felt the game was thin and just offer a less than popular opinion for those curious. All I can say is how glad I was to hear during the GOTY delibs that they mention that the end of that game could be interpreted as a Bad ending because in real life that situation is going to go Real bad most likely. If the game didn't have her being a lesbian there would be nothing to that game and even with it I don't find much there except some cool high res 90's shit. It isn't terrible and the high res stuff is nice even though it just makes the Non high res stuff in there look like crap but the puzzles were junk the story was after school special worthy at best. that was kinda it I figured it out to easily and so I spent 2 hour wandering around a house trying to beat it hoping it would surprise me at some point. That was my problem is I felt like the game did Not make you feel that all the time, I was super excited for some awesome ghost story or a least the game playing with you more on whats going on I felt like I figured out that it was just going to be about your sister meeting another girl I could tell that was the story line and. The game just makes you feel that all the time, and I loved it. Never finished the game, slenderman is going to jump out any minute, too scared As we grow, and as we look for the decades to come, it’s important to write things down and to formalize them in your articles of incorporation for a couple of reasons. And I’ve been very proud of employees for doing it that way. The company, we always operated by our values. You have to pay attention to all your stakeholders, not just shareholders. And that’s why I think the public-benefit corporation is a great structure, because it puts that right in the charter. I think it’s very important that the internal ethos and way of working of a company matches its charter. Small business has to take care of its customers and its neighborhood, because there is no external safety net. And if I lose one, we probably have to move out of our house. I remember him telling me the importance of customers And him saying we have about three big customers. So just this idea of quality– and then he also taught me about customers. And I’d ask him, is it good enough? And he’d say, if you have to ask me, it’s not good enough. I would do a little job for him, and I’d come back. He had this big sign that said quality is job one. So I worked in that machine shop, and I learned a lot of lessons from my dad. When I was growing up, I didn’t know anything about a public-benefit corporation. I remember being on a bike ride and realizing I have to act here. And then we got close to 1,000 people, and I started hearing about this public-benefit corporation concept.Īnd I thought, wow, that is more like the type of company that I would want to run. It’s a small company, you know? It’s a startup. And I thought, hey, Veeva– it’ll probably go out of business anyway. And I thought that’s strange, that’s not quite aligned with who I am. It was basically you need to make money for the shareholders and don’t do anything illegal, and that’s it. And I read them, and it sounded overly simplistic to me. When I started Veeva, I signed our articles of incorporation. When thinking about corporate governance, it’s really about ethics, about corporate ethics, about trying to do the right things, about realizing you have a responsibility to all your stakeholders, not just your shareholders. And Veeva became the first public company to convert. In addition to laying off employees, 52% of respondents said they’ve made hiring freezes or plan to.PETER GASSNER: January 2021, 99% of voting shareholders voted for our proposal to become a public-benefit corporation. That’s the share of corporate executives that have implemented or plan to implement job cuts, according to a PricewaterhouseCoopers survey of 722 executives released Thursday. Earlier this month, however, unemployment claims reported by the Department of Labor jumped to a nine-month high, with roughly 262,000 people filed initial jobless claims. Deputy Secretary of Labor Julie Su said she was optimistic the economy will rebound, citing 9 million jobs created since President Joe Biden took office, and 372,000 new jobs in June. In an interview with the Washington Post last month, U.S. House Democrats earlier this month passed an ambitious piece of legislation, after hours of debate, aimed at curbing inflation, sending the $437 billion Inflation Reduction Act to President Joe Biden, who signed it on Monday. The latest report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed an 8.5% spike in inflation from last July, a sign that the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hikes could be cooling inflation, one month after a 9.1% year-over-year spike in June. Then, over the past month, warning signs seemed to be tapering off. Bank of America issued a warning last month that “economic momentum has faded,” and a “mild recession” is possible by the end of the year. After the rate hike - the first of two from the Federal Reserve this summer - economists at S&P Global Ratings forecast a 2.4% drop in GDP by year’s end, a reverse in course from earlier forecasts of 2.4% growth. Those fears were reignited following Federal Reserve’s announcement in June to raise interest rates by 75 basis points, its largest rate hike in 28 years. may be headed toward recession following reports the economy contracted 1.6% in the first quarter of the year. May 21, 2022Used car seller Carvana CEO Ernie Garcia III sent an email to 2,500 employees - 12% of the company’s workforce - informing them they had lost their jobs, one week after freezing new hiring, as the company embraced for what looked like a looming recession in car sales, and reports of a “spendthrift” business style had come back to bite the company. |
